The Mixed Up Days of Spring

Slice of Life logoIt’s April One and spring has begun – so they say. The early morning rise showed me wind, snow and dark gray skies. I once again bundled up for the continuing winter weather and stumbled down to the kitchen for tea.

My drive to the store to gather supplies for house projects was a slipping and sliding mess but hey we have been doing this since last November – a good solid five months. We know how to drive in snow and ice, even in April.

But in true April fools day humor the wind has mellowed, the sun has decided to show its face and the blue skies are peeking out from under those deep gray clouds.

I was thinking winter but spring is out there showings its true colors this afternoon.   Thank goodness that earlier morning was only Mother’s nature playing an April Fools Joke.

We had our April Fool’s trick from Mother Nature yesterday with snow, rain, and no power. Today is a beautiful day. It’s about time.

There you go, Mother Nature may well be done with her tricks.
