To much to sort out –

IMG_2331It is Tuesday and I want to write and post but my head is spinning. There are so many thoughts I can’t see clear to even write. As we near this holiday time the world both locally and beyond seems lost in fear, violence and hate.

The north side of town is struggling to find footing in the aftermath of another shooting that has taken the life of a young black male. The high poverty schools are stretched thin in finding resources for students who are lacking a stable home life in this rocking and rolling world we live in right now.

Nationally we have violence that has taken another group of people whose lives were cut off way to soon. Internationally we see the same, as well as people seeking new homes, new lives without fear.

I could go one but you are reading the news, you are feeling the struggles within your own communities and schools.

Think Peace, love and use a gently voice these days. We don’t know each others stories – what lies behind that angry child, the adult that snaps at you suddenly or the shy quiet one hiding in the corner.

Peace and Good Will!

I am sorry for the loss of the young man in your town. You are right about the hate, fear, violence. Perhaps it starts with us being empathetic and patient with others and realizing we don’t know the full story. Doing good in our little corner of the world as best we can. Thanks for your Slice.

  2. Carol says:

Such hard days. A policeman was shot and critically wounded 3 minutes from my school today.

  3. Linda Baie says:

I agree, things are not all good, but I like your ending. That’s what we do, share peace and love, help where we can.
